Launched in August 2025, IGNITE (Indian Girls Network for Invention, Technology and Education) is a student-led initiative that aims to make STEM education more accessible and relatable for middle and high school girls from underserved communities in India. Through a carefully designed science curriculum that focuses on sustainability, the project hopes to conduct hands-on workshops that help youngsters explore key science concepts in a way that is engaging for them. To continue supporting learning, IGNITE also plans on raising funds that help set up a basic science lab, giving girls the tools and space they need to regularly experiment and apply their knowledge.
In addition to training, it also looks forward to providing opportunities for students to showcase their work through a community science fair and online journal where they can publish their writings and scientific artwork. In this way, by combining exposure and recognition, IGNITE hopes to inspire girls who can not only discover their own potential in science but also inspire others in their communities to do so.
